    Description

Guest Booker For Top Podcast (ARTS + MENTAL HEALTH / WELL-BEING)

This is a volunteer position. Fully remote. 2–3 hours per week.

Connection is Magic is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) and podcast at the intersection of music, arts, and mental health. We rank in the top 5% most-shared podcasts globally on Spotify, have 8M+ YouTube views, and stream in 66 countries. Past guests include Jack Black, Russell Brand, Reggie Watts, Peter Paterno (Dr. Dre's lawyer), Jeff Bass (Eminem's first producer), Katonya Breaux (Frank Ocean's mother), and Nabil Elderkin. Featured in Complex, The FADER, and the New York Post. Operational partner: Companion Arts.

We're looking for a volunteer Guest Producer to help us land our next tier of guests — established artists, industry leaders, and cultural voices whose stories belong on CIM.

    What you'll do:

    • Research and identify high-fit guest targets across music, mental health, and culture
    • Draft and send pitch emails to guests, managers, and reps
    • Manage the booking pipeline (tracking, follow-ups, scheduling)
    • Support confirmed bookings through pre-interview logistics
    • Collaborate directly with the founder

    What you bring:

    • Ears to the ground on pop culture — musical artists, designers, painters, actors, authors, cultural voices
    • Strong written communication and pitch-writing skills
    • Organized and self-directed — we're a lean team
    • Relentless, resourceful, and genuinely excited to pitch big names
    • Genuine interest in the mission (arts, music, pop-culture + well-being / mental health)

    What you get:

    • Direct production credit on CIM episodes
    • Access to our guest pipeline
    • Mentorship from the founder, 15+ years at Interscope, Atlantic Records, The Tonight Show, and artist management, now also a practicing AMFT
    • Real portfolio work with a nationally recognized podcast
    • Strong reference and LinkedIn recommendation on successful project completion
    • Possibility to convert to a paid role as grant funding lands

    Project structure:

    • 3-month commitment
    • 2–3 hrs/week, flexible schedule
    • Weekly 30-min check-in with founder
    • Benchmark: 1 new compelling podcast guest booked bi-weekly

    To apply: Email cleo@connectionismagic.com with:

    1. Your relevant background
    2. One guest you'd target for CIM and a 2–3 sentence pitch of why
    3. Your availability to start
