    Description

    Purpose of the Role

    Cat Care & Socializing Volunteers provide essential daily support that keeps our cats healthy, comfortable, and emotionally thriving. This role directly impacts each cat’s quality of life while they wait for their forever home.

    Key Responsibilities

    ✔ Clean cat rooms, litter boxes, and habitat areas

    ✔ Prepare and serve meals and fresh water

    ✔ Wash and refresh bedding, toys, bowls, and enclosures

    ✔ Provide positive enrichment: playtime, gentle petting, grooming support

    ✔ Observe and report changes in health or behavior

    ✔ Maintain a calm and safe environment for both cats and people

    Qualities & Skills We’re Looking For

    • Compassion for animals, especially special-needs and shy cats
    • Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
    • Comfortable with physical tasks (bending, lifting, cleaning)
    • Responsible, dependable, and able to work independently
    • Strong communication and willingness to ask questions

    No prior experience required — we provide full training!
