Company Description
Pantheon Arts Community Storytelling is a non-profit found in the Greater Portland, OR area dedicated to cultivating and amplifying artistic voices through a variety of services and activities, including hybrid events... that is where you come in as a Sparktender, a volunteer who fans the flame of creation and continues to set ablaze our mission to "Enkindle Your Inner Creator".
We have three branches built for programming and support across our organization, the first is known as the Pantheon Arts Nexus, or PAN, a Commune and network of artists built for artists. Having just started our efforts in September with our status gained, we press on and rally under the banner of creativity and that inner fire. We are not currently seeking volunteers for the other two branches, but anticipate we will, very soon.
The PAN Commune focuses on Art and Culture, Tabletop Games and Recreation in Nature, or Science and Inquiry as the different types of experiences we hope to cultivate, perhaps you will find your place among our merry band of adventurers, sooner than you think!
Role Description for Event Facilitator
This is a part-time, [remote or hybrid] Volunteer role located in the Greater Portland, OR area. The duties would encompass a time commitment of 2-4 hours a month, or more if you like with us asking you to commit to at least a single 2 hour long event each month, plus some onboarding and training that will include trauma-informed care.
Do you feel your sparks can help to facilitate a safe, identify-affirming space for people to show up and do their art, connect with each other, and engage with their city? Does your artist within yearn to come out in ways that help others to find space to create? Then facilitating events with Pantheon Arts is the right direction for you, we believe!
We are seeking fellow artists who desire to use their talent to host events or be a part of hosted events we run in the future. Our array of programming is split by those we are currently running, those being built, and we will even train you and work with you to build events of your own to host, if you have ideas we don’t as a Sparktender! So settle up and step up to aid others in their uncovering of their inner creator!
As a Sparktender, your responsibility is to be a present and aware creator with an interest in connecting and engaging in person or online, to be empathetic and respectful as someone who will help people handle their dreams, and to have a mindset that allows room for growth; which is not always comfortable for people.
