    Description

Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space--Fundraising Coordinator

The Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space is a free museum that details the history of grassroots community activism around spaces and gardens, especially in the East Village and Lower East Side. The museum also operates a whole host of free events in the community gardens around the neighborhood. All of our events and programming run off of donations and grants. As such, fundraising is essential to our mission and operations.

Fundraising experience is required. We are looking for someone who has any additional experience/enthusiasm for:

    • grant searching and grant writing
    • brainstorming fundraising ideas
    • increasing our membership

Fundraising committee meetings are held periodically. Our volunteers partner with Time's Up! Environmental Organization. Almost all volunteers/interns work from the front desk of the museum, so some ability to interact with patrons is also necessary.
