Do you believe that residents in nursing homes and assisted livings deserve quality care? Do you think that they need an advocate to make sure that happens? Then look no further! Become an Ombudsman Volunteer Associate and be an advocate for the residents.
Ombudsman volunteers are the eyes and ears in making sure residents are receiving quality care and have a great quality of life. Our volunteers inform residents and families about resident rights and provide a voice for residents if there are concerns regarding their care and treatment. This is done by also assisting our staff in investigating the complaints and being the advocate for change. Volunteers can also assist with our services including:
We have free certification training (in-person or virtual) which includes classroom work, self-study exercises, and shadowing opportunities. After the certification exam, we ask for at least 4 hours of service a month and to obtain continuing education which will be provided by our office.
Volunteer with us and help us support this part of your community!
