    Description

Our annual Tigard Playschool Carnival is a joyful, community‑centered event that brings families together for games, activities, and classic carnival treats. Volunteers are essential to making the day run smoothly and ensuring every child has a magical experience.

We’re looking for friendly, reliable helpers to support game booths, activity stations, concessions, and event cleanup. No prior experience needed — just a positive attitude and a willingness to jump in.

🎲 Game & Activity Booth Attendant

Most volunteers will help run one of our many kid‑friendly booths. Tasks include:

    • Greeting children and families with warmth and enthusiasm
    • Explaining simple game rules and encouraging participation
    • Handing out small prizes
    • Keeping the booth area tidy and welcoming

🍿 Concessions Helper (Popcorn & Cotton Candy)

A smaller number of volunteers may assist with concessions. Tasks include:

    • Preparing popcorn or cotton candy using provided machines
    • Following safety and hygiene guidelines
    • Serving treats to families
    • Restocking supplies as needed

    🧹 Event Cleanup Support

At the end of the carnival, volunteers may help with:

    • Breaking down booths and activity stations
    • Collecting trash and recycling
    • Packing up supplies and decorations
    • Leaving the space clean for school use

    🕒 Time Commitment

Shifts typically run 2–3 hours, with options for setup, mid‑event, or cleanup. Volunteers are welcome to sign up for more than one shift.
