    Help Seniors with Home or Tech Tasks- On Your Own Schedule!

    ⭐ Skilled Volunteers Needed! Use Your Talents to Help Older Adults in Palos Verdes (On Your Schedule!)

    The Palos Verdes Peninsula Village is seeking skilled volunteer Home Handymen/Handywomen and Tech Helpers to support older adults on the Palos Verdes Peninsula who want to remain independent, safe, and confident in their own homes.

    This is one of the most flexible and rewarding volunteer opportunities you’ll find. You choose the requests you accept and the times that work for you.

    🔧 Volunteer Home Handymen & Handywomen

    We are looking for volunteers who have real experience with household repairs—people who know their way around tools and basic home maintenance.

    Typical tasks include:

    • Changing lightbulbs or smoke detector batteries
    • Fixing small household items
    • Light repairs and minor home maintenance
    • Helping with simple safety improvements

    Most visits take about 2 hours, and you select only the tasks that match your skill set.

    💻 Volunteer Tech Helpers

    If you’re the person everyone turns to for tech help—this role is perfect for you.

    Tasks may include:

    • Helping with iPhones or iPads
    • Troubleshooting printers or Wi-Fi
    • Assisting with TVs, remotes, or streaming devices
    • Guiding members through basic tech tasks or settings

    Most requests also take about 1–2 hours, and you choose when you help.
