Volunteer Food Pickup Driver

Description
Be the link between food from local grocery stores and neighbors in need! As a driver, you’ll pick up food donations from partner stores and deliver them to The Sharing Place Food Pantry, helping ensure families have access to the food they need.
This volunteer role involves some heavy lifting and a regular time commitment. Drivers should be comfortable driving a larger vehicle (Ford Transit Van), following a set schedule, and working in pairs or small teams. Volunteers in this role are an essential link in our food rescue process- helping ensure good food gets to families who need it most.

The Sharing Place Food Pantry is located in the Lawrence Township Education & Community Center through door #5 under The Sharing Place Banner on the north side of the building! There is plenty of parking available in the parking lot.

In preparation, please note that the following forms and documents are required for driving:
- Signed Driver Acknowledgement Form
- Copy of a valid driver’s license
- Proof of auto insurance
