    Description

    Community Television Network, a Chicago nonprofit with over 50 years of history empowering underserved youth, is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Hard Cover, our flagship youth-produced TV show. We're seeking 1-2 dedicated volunteers to help us leverage this milestone for fundraising and sponsorship opportunities.

    Our mission: Community Television Network empowers underserved youth to identify, address, and resolve issues through the use and understanding of digital media arts.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop fundraising strategies and campaigns for our 40th Hard Cover anniversary
    • Research and identify potential corporate sponsors and individual donors
    • Create sponsorship packages and donor cultivation materials
    • Help plan and coordinate fundraising efforts and initiatives
    • Build relationships with sponsors and donors
    • Support grant research and identification of funding opportunities (we have a grant writer on staff)
    • Track fundraising progress and help steward donor relationships
    • Collaborate with staff to develop compelling fundraising appeals and impact stories

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in fundraising, development, or sales (or strong desire to learn)
    • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
    • Creative thinking about fundraising opportunities and donor engagement
    • Organized and able to manage multiple prospects and initiatives
    • Comfortable making asks and pitching sponsorship opportunities
    • Familiarity with corporate sponsorships, individual giving, or special events is a plus
    • Passion for youth media education and supporting underserved communities in Chicago

    Schedule:

    • Flexible schedule, 3-5 hours per week
    • Hybrid work (primarily remote, occasional in-person meetings and events if in the area)
    • Monthly check-ins with staff
