    Description

Beyond Emancipation (BE) is dedicated to supporting transition-age youth—many of whom are former foster youth—as they build stable and independent lives. Many of our young people are also parents. When they attend BE’s workshops and seminars to access vital information on jobs, housing, food resources, and more, they need reliable and caring childcare so they can fully participate.

We are seeking childcare volunteers to help care for children (ages infant to 10) for 2–4 hours at a time during our events. Volunteers will provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment while parents focus on learning and planning for their future.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and engage children with age-appropriate activities.
    • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
    • Work alongside BE staff to support parents and families.

    Commitment:

Flexible – opportunities are scheduled around BE workshops (usually weekday evenings or Saturdays). Shifts are typically 2–4 hours.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience working with children (babysitting, teaching, caregiving, etc.) preferred.
    • Patient, reliable, and responsible.
    • Must be 18+ and able to pass a background check.

    Impact:

Your support ensures young parents can access critical workshops on employment, housing, food security, and other resources. By volunteering, you help entire families move toward stability and success.
