    Description

Remote Fundraiser – Farmer-Managed Community Restoration Pathway, Civicom Aid

Opportunity: Remote Fundraiser – Farmer-Managed Community Restoration Pathway, Civicom Aid

    About Civicom Aid

Civicom Aid is a registered non profit Public Benefit Organisation, an NGO, based in Mombasa, Kenya. We work across Kenya and Uganda.

Our Farmer-Managed Community Restoration programme supports remote family farmers in dry land regions and high-rainfall regions to restore land, grow more food, and build stronger, more resilient communities (SDG 15: Life on Land).

    About the Role

We are looking for a friendly volunteer to help us raise financial support for our Farmer-Managed Community Restoration initiative.

This is an unpaid, remote role. It suits someone who wants to give their time and skills to a cause they care about. Our team will support you throughout, and we can adjust the pace and workload to fit your availability.

    What You Will Do

As our Remote Fundraiser, you will help us find funding and build relationships with people and organisations who want to support farming families and land restoration.

    Your Roles

    • Help find funding, such as individual donors, foundation donors, and corporate donors, that fit our land restoration and climate resilience work
    • Help write funding proposals, donor appeals, and updates on our impact
    • Use other fundraising methods you already have skills and experience in
    • Join occasional remote check-ins to share updates and plan next steps

    Qualifications

    • Interest in fundraising, grant writing, or non profit work — no experience needed, we will guide you
    • Able to work independently and flexibly across time zones
    • A real interest in farming, climate resilience, or helping rural communities thrive
    • Non profit or NGO experience is a bonus, not a must

    Other Details

    • Location: Fully remote — open to volunteers anywhere
    • Time: Flexible, we will agree what works for you
    • Length: We suggest a short trial period first, so we can both see if it is a good fit. You can continue after that if you would like to
    • Support: You will work closely with our Executive Director and team, who are there to help you
    • Please note: this is unpaid volunteer work. It offers hands-on experience and the chance to make a real difference
