    You will be required to be a certified VDR. We will assist volunteers in being deputized as a VDR. Once you are a VDR for any county, it lasts for 2 years, and you can use it with other organizations that do Voter Registration events.

    Description

    We are building our pool of VDR's (Volunteer Deputy Registrars). VDR's are certified by the state of Texas to register citizens to vote within the counties in which they are certified.

    When we go out into the community to expand our Community Ambassador network, we are often allowed to do so if we offer Voter Registration. Therefore, during a typical community outreach event we will sign people up to receive a monthly stipend for their phone or internet bill, offer to register them to vote, and give them free swag!

    We also, partner with other community organizations, that offer Voter Registration at various community events. So, our Cbates pool of VDRs will often join other organizations in the community for different events.
