Volunteer Artist Opportunity – Help Tell the Story of Ryther

Ryther is seeking a volunteer artist to create original artwork that captures the spirit of our mission, our beautiful 9-acre campus, and the youth we serve.

For more than a century, Ryther has supported children, youth, and families through innovative mental and behavioral health services. While we often share stories about the impact of our work, we intentionally do not feature identifiable clients in our marketing and communications materials out of respect for privacy and confidentiality.

We are looking for an artist who can help us tell that story in a creative and meaningful way.

    Project Overview

We are seeking original artwork that depicts youth engaging with the natural beauty, safety, and sense of community found on Ryther's campus. The artwork may portray scenes of healing, connection, growth, recreation, learning, or reflection and should reflect the hope and possibility that Ryther strives to provide.

Artists are welcome to work in the medium of their choice, including:

    • Painting
    • Illustration
    • Digital art
    • Mixed media
    • Photography-based artwork
    • Other visual arts mediums

How the Artwork Will Be Used

Selected artwork may be featured in:

    • Ryther website and digital communications
    • Marketing and promotional materials
    • Event displays and presentations
    • Annual reports and donor communications
    • Campus exhibits and signage

The artist will receive credit whenever practical and appropriate.

    What You'll Gain

    • An opportunity to use your artistic talents to support youth mental health
    • Exposure through Ryther publications, events, and website
    • Recognition as a creative partner supporting a community nonprofit
    • Volunteer service documentation, if requested
    • The chance to leave a lasting visual legacy that helps tell Ryther's story

    What We're Looking For

    • Passion for art, storytelling, and community impact
    • Ability to create work that reflects youth, healing, hope, and connection
    • Willingness to collaborate with Ryther staff to understand our mission and campus
    • Artists of all experience levels are encouraged to inquire

If you are interested in helping us create compelling visual representations of Ryther's mission and campus, we would love to hear from you.
