Speaker ChairMom (Temporary Role)

Team: Mothering Convention

Location: Remote / Near Sandy, Utah

Commitment: Minimum 3 hours per week (remote), one team meeting per week (remote) & All day Oct 10, 2026 in Sandy, Utah.

Unpaid Volunteer Role

Key Responsibilities

• Makes first contact and maintains contact with speakers;
• Gives ideas for successful presentation based on feedback from last year;
• Gathers details such as a current bio, class description including title & summary;
• Works closely with Compendium ChairMom to gather appropriate handouts & worksheets for the Compendium.
• Works with Vendor ChairMom regarding speakers who would like vendor space.
• Good at clear communication with those who will be presenting and making sure their needs are met
• Communicates with the Handbook ChairMom to get speaker bios (etc) into the Handbook
• Communicates with the Marketing ChairMom to get speaker info onto social media
• Communicates with the Scheduling ChairMom about how many times a speaker presents, any timing needs expressed by the speakers, etc.
• Good organization skills and time management

Time Commitment & Expectations

• Dedicate a minimum of 3 hours per week to duties and outreach.
• Attend weekly meeting with Mothering Convention Team
• Attend Mothering Convention all day event, October 10, 2026 in Sandy, Utah
• Communicate proactively if circumstances impact your ability to fulfill responsibilities.
