    Sometimes we have 1or 2 haircut request a week. Volunteer Coordinator receives request, speaks with case manager and family about request and space for services. Volunteer contacts patient and can set schedule, some are time-sensitive. .

    Description

    Hospice Beautician, Barber, or Cosmetologists

    We’re looking for a compassionate, licensed Beautician/Cosmetologists/Barber who would love to volunteer their time to bring comfort and dignity to our hospice patients.

    A simple haircut, a gentle style, or a caring touch can mean the world to someone who can no longer visit a salon. These moments lift spirits, ease families’ hearts, and remind patients that they are cherished and seen.

    If you have a heart for helping others and a desire to make a beautiful difference, we would be so grateful to have you on our team. Looking for someone to go to Patient's Home/Nursing Home/ Linda E. White Hospice House - In patient Unit.

    Volunteer would need to have dependable transportation.

    Volunteer training provided by Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, computer training, and programming.

    Professional License is required.

    Instructions:

    Volunteers interested will need to meet with Volunteer Coordinator; application can be sent to you or picked at the Linda E. White Hospice House. A volunteer Interview will be scheduled. During your visit you will receive a Hospice Volunteer Orientation Manual to help you understand the role and meaningful impact you will be making.
