    About

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children affected by cancer? We are looking for dedicated volunteer leaders to join our mission of providing free, fun, and supportive camp experiences to amazing kids.

As a leader of our Sibling Camp program, you will have the tangible opportunity to create unforgettable memories, foster friendships, and be a source of strength and joy for campers. You'll also be part of a compassionate and enthusiastic team dedicated to empowering children to just be kids.

Whether you’re looking to build your resume, gain professional references, or simply wanting to use your leadership skills in a new way, this is a unique, hands-on opportunity you’ll never forget.

    Specific Responsibilities

Prior to your camp session, you will be responsible for working with our Program Manager and Family Communications Coordinator to review camper records, identify potential behavioral challenges, and suggest solutions to best support these children during the week of camp.

During your camp session, you will serve as a member of the camp’s Leadership Team, providing additional support where needed to help children with behavioral and emotional challenges thrive in the camp environment.

    Qualifications

Applicants should be at least 21 years of age, be able to pass a background check, and be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

Strong candidates will possess the following qualifications and skills:

    • Experience providing childcare
    • Demonstrated professional experience working with children with behavioral challenges
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Expectations & Commitment

Most of the preparation and planning can be done remotely and around your own schedule.

Applicants must be able to commit to attending every day of the in-person camp session in Groton, MA (July 11-16, 2027). Applicants should be able to commit to help with this role through the execution of the camp session in 2027.
