    About the Organization

    The Joseph Will Aristide Foundation is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals and families through financial literacy, education, and community-centered support. Our mission is to create long-term economic stability and opportunity by equipping communities with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to thrive.

    Volunteer Role Overview

    We are seeking passionate, dependable volunteers to support our ongoing programs and community initiatives. Volunteers will work collaboratively with our team and play a meaningful role in advancing our mission.

    Available Volunteer Roles Include:

    • Financial Literacy Workshop Facilitators
    • Assist with or lead educational workshops focused on budgeting, credit, savings, and financial empowerment.
    • Event Support & Community Outreach Volunteers
    • Help with planning, setup, engagement, and outreach for community events and programs.
    • Administrative & Tech Support Volunteers
    • Support internal operations including data entry, scheduling, communications, basic tech assistance, and organizational tasks.

    Volunteers will be matched to roles based on interest, skills, and availability.

    Time Commitment

    • Ongoing, open-ended volunteer opportunities
    • Flexible scheduling
    • Volunteers will provide their availability and weekly time commitment during the application process

    Requirements

    • Must be 21 years of age or older
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
    • Commitment to the mission and values of the foundation
    • Background check required

    Role-Specific Skills (inferred by position):

    • Financial literacy, teaching, facilitation, or coaching experience (for workshop roles)
    • Communication, outreach, or event coordination skills (for community roles)
    • Organizational, administrative, or basic technical skills (for admin/tech support)

    Nice-to-Have Skills:

    • Experience working with nonprofits or community programs
    • Multilingual abilities
    • Social media, data management, or IT familiarity
