Remote Volunteer Fundraising Lead — Youth Programs

REMOTE VOLUNTEER FUNDRAISING LEAD — youth, SCHOLARSHIPS & COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Help Believe in Me expand sustainable funding for programs that support youth and young people through scholarships, educational initiatives, community partnerships, and volunteer expertise.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

Believe in Me is a Washington-based nonprofit investing in opportunities that help young people build confidence and succeed. The Volunteer Fundraising Lead will coordinate practical fundraising priorities and help turn donor, corporate, foundation, alumni, and community relationships into reliable program support.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

Help develop and maintain a diversified fundraising plan with measurable goals.

Prioritize donor cultivation, sponsorship, workplace giving, grants, campaigns, and community partnerships.

Coordinate remotely with development, marketing, events, grants, finance, board, and program volunteers.

Create fundraising briefs, prospect strategies, stewardship plans, calendars, and progress reports.

Improve donor journeys, renewal efforts, impact messaging, and calls to action.

Support ethical use of donor data, accurate claims, and consistent documentation.

Identify opportunities for skills-based volunteering, matching gifts, volunteer grants, and employee giving.

    IDEAL EXPERIENCE

Fundraising, nonprofit development, donor relations, sponsorship, philanthropy, sales, partnerships, campaigns, or community engagement. Strong organization, relationship-building, writing, and follow-through are important. Experience leading volunteers or cross-functional projects is helpful.

    TIME AND LOCATION

Remote and flexible, approximately 2–3 hours per week. This is an ongoing leadership opportunity; specific projects and goals will be scoped with Believe in Me’s team.

    IMPACT AND SUPPORT

Your leadership will help fund scholarships, youth education, community partnerships, and programs that create opportunities for young people. Volunteers receive orientation, defined priorities, collaboration tools, program information, and access to organizational leadership.
