    Lead - Pod Manager (100% Volunteer role)

    Location: Remote

    Time Commitment: 5–10 hours per week (Must offer schedule flexibility)

Through our incubator programs, we provide hands-on skill building, mentorship, expert support, and powerful networks. We believe access matters—and we’re building the kind of ecosystem we wish more founders had from day one.

    The Opportunity

    The Lead Pod Manager is a volunteer leader whose core objective is the facilitation of the smooth operations and health of a specific entrepreneur cohort.

    We are looking for an individual who is passionate about empowering women entrepreneurs and motivated to contribute to women’s uplifting and business success in the US. Our clients exhibit bravery, grit and resourcefulness, and you find their stories and perseverance inspiring and meaningful.

    Overview:

    We are seeking a highly organized, technically savvy, and proactive Lead - Pod Manager to facilitate the smooth operation of our entrepreneurship program. This role is designed for a self-starter who can lead by influence, adapt, and anticipate needs before they become issues, and leverage modern tools to maintain a lean, efficient pilot team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Leadership: Will lead team of Pod Managers and advise as needed; Will serve as escalation point for Pod Managers

    • Qualities include: Strategic thinker, Strong communication, empathy, and the ability to foster growth in others are accountable, passionate, and able to navigate uncertainty by balancing long-term goals with day-to-day operations
    • Proactive Management: Actively monitor pod health and engagement; intervene early with participants at risk of missing milestones rather than waiting for issues to arise.
    • Recruitment : Hiring of new pod managers: description of need to HR, interviewing of shortlisted candidates, onboarding of new pod managers.

    Mentorship: Provide proactive guidance and support to Pod Managers within Cohort .

    Technical Administration: Manage digital infrastructure, including Google Drive organization, complex folder structures, and documentation.

    AI Integration: Utilize ChatGPT and our internal AI tool, Start Small Today, to streamline communication and resolve participant inquiries efficiently through expert prompting.

    Communication & Logistics: Coordinate schedules, send deadline reminders, and maintain the milestone assignment tracker with high precision.

    Reporting: Deliver concise pod status updates and actionable insights to the Director of Programs.

    Managing Challenges: Ability to navigate and triage an Pod Manager team challenges and unblock team workflow impediments ,

    Qualifications:

    Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace (Drive, Chat, Space, Sheets, Docs, Slides) and file management architecture.

    AI Literacy: Demonstrated experience with AI prompting (e.g., ChatGPT) and an understanding of how to leverage AI agents for productivity.

    Self-Starter Mindset: Proven ability to work independently with a proactive vs. reactive approach to problem-solving.

    Schedule Flexibility: Ability to adapt weekly hours (within the 5–10 hour range) to meet program cycles and deadlines.

    Communication: Strong command of the English language and the ability to lead diverse groups through influence.

    Key Skills:

    Exceptional organizational and planning skills.

    High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple threads simultaneously.

    Effective time management and strict adherence to deadlines
