Our volunteer mentors help small businesses succeed through our FREE mentoring program. During the onboarding training, you will be certified to conduct Mentoring with our small business clients. After certification, you will lead 1:1 meetings with small business owners who are seeking help to improve their business. It is your opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with local businesses.
We need people who have experience running, leading a business. This can be through ownership and it can also be experience working for an organization. The most important characteristic is the ability to listen and understand our client's needs before helping them identify solutions and plans to improve their business.
The most effective volunteers average 2-4 hours per week meeting with clients and providing feedback through our CRM system.
You can expect a high level of fulfillment from the success your small business owner mentees experience. Additionally, many of our volunteers view this as a lifelong learning opportunity.
Volunteers who speak Spanish are a welcome addition.
