Volunteer Motion Designer / 2D Animator

SheRebuilds is an international nonprofit supporting women who have experienced domestic violence as they rebuild their professional lives through career guidance, education, and practical support.

About the role

We’re looking for a Volunteer Motion Designer / 2D Animator to help us bring our visual content to life through short, engaging videos for Instagram. We already have a visual character and ambassador, Alma, who is part of the SheRebuilds visual identity. One of the main parts of the role will be creating simple, subtle animations with Alma and turning existing visual assets into short-form content. At the same time, the role won’t be limited to Alma. As our content develops, there may also be opportunities to animate other illustrations, visual concepts, and creative ideas for our social media. We’re looking for minimal, thoughtful motion rather than complex animation or full video production, small movements that make static visuals feel alive and engaging.

What you'll do

• Create approximately 2–3 short motion videos per month
• Animate Alma and other existing visual assets
• Develop simple motion concepts for Instagram Reels
• Bring static illustrations and creative ideas to life
• Work with our content and design team on different visual projects
• Experiment with simple, repeatable animation styles for our social media
