    Description

Nurse-Direct Patient Care (RN or LPN)

Our nurse volunteers bring hope and healing to low income working adults with chronic health conditions. Nurses facilitate patient service, settle patients in exam rooms, take history and vital sign assessment, assist physicians during patient visits, review medications with patients, and review test results and lab work. They notify physicians of abnormal test results, abnormal vital signs and ensure they are noted and treated. They review order reports and records for services provided and reset and sanitize exam rooms. Non-licensed nurses can assist with many of these tasks. To provide direct patient care a nurse must have a current Florida RN or LPN license. The Clinic only sees patients with chronic health conditions.
