    An up to date Florida Nursing license is required for direct patient care. Non licensed nurse provide nursing support. All licensed medical staff are approved by the State of Florida to meet the Sovereign Immunity Act requirements.

    Description

    At Neighborhood Health Clinic, nurse volunteers bring hope and healing to hardworking, uninsured adults in Collier County. The Clinic focuses on patients living with chronic health conditions, and our nurses play a central role in helping them stay well.

    Nurses settle patients into exam rooms, take health histories and vital signs, assist physicians during visits, and review medications, test results, and lab work with patients. They also review orders and records for services provided, and reset and sanitize exam rooms between visits. This hands-on support helps our patients reach 98% medication adherence, compared with a national average of about 50%.

    Volunteers who keep a regular schedule build trust with patients and become valued members of our care team. Shifts can be weekly, every other week, or monthly, with on-call options available.

    Requirements

    • Current Florida RN or LPN license
    • State approval

    Shifts (in person at the Clinic)

    • Morning: 8:45 – 11:45 AM ET
    • Afternoon: 12:45 – 4:30 PM ET
