    Description

    Performing Arts Program Instructor/Assistant

    2026–2027 School Year

Do you have a passion for the arts and a heart for mentoring young people? Join our Performing Arts Program as a volunteer instructor and help students grow in confidence, creativity, and leadership.

We are seeking Instructors and Helpers to serve with students ages 2–18 across a variety of classes focused on acting, music, dance, creative writing, visual art, and performance.

    Role Overview

Volunteers serve as mentors who guide and encourage students while helping lead engaging, creative classes. Our program provides a structured curriculum, while also giving volunteers the freedom to bring their own ideas and experience into the classroom.

    • Instructors commit to the full school year and may co-teach classes
    • Helpers may serve for a semester or the full year
    • All volunteers build meaningful relationships with students and help foster a positive, growth-focused environment

    Impact & Experience

In this role, you will help students develop:

    • Confident communication
    • Creative discipline
    • Emotional intelligence
    • Leadership through collaboration
    • A heart for serving their community

Students participate in outreach performances throughout the year, including nursing homes, community events, and a spring musical. The first semester focuses on skill-building and connection, while the second semester culminates in a full production.

Why Volunteer? This is more than teaching the arts, it’s about investing in the next generation. Volunteers play a vital role in encouraging students, building their confidence, and helping them discover their voice.
