Veteran Hospice Volunteer-Serve a Veteran Receiving Hospice Care

Volunteering for hospice serves families and their loved ones when they need it most! Excell is looking for veterans or active service members who are seeking to connect with veteran hospice patients. As a volunteer you can create a deep relationship with a veteran by providing them with companionship during the end of their life. As a volunteer, you are free to visit patients during the times and dates that work best with your schedule! Some of our volunteers like to connect with patients through reading books, singing, telling stories or playing games. Volunteers might also help with light house or yard work if needed. The end of life is difficult, but the presence of a volunteer can make a big difference in a patient’s experience.
