    Description

    At Young Mothers, Inc., we are dedicated to educating, mentoring, nurturing, and supporting young mothers (25 and under) on their journey to self-sufficiency. Through our core pillars, Health & Wellness and Education, we deliver programs that transform lives and build stronger futures.

    We are seeking a passionate, creative, and driven Program Coordinator to bring our programs to life, expand our impact, and help shape the future of our organization.

    Position Summary

    As Program Coordinator, you will play a key role in designing, executing, and growing programs that directly support young women and families. You’ll collaborate with leadership, committees, and community partners to ensure our initiatives are meaningful, effective, and impactful.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Leadership & Development

      • Lead the execution and continuous improvement of existing programs
      • Identify community needs and develop innovative programs aligned with our mission
      • Collaborate with internal committees to launch new initiatives

    Program Highlights You’ll Support

      • I Love You Makeover – Health, wellness, and educational workshops focused on prevention and reducing risk factors
      • Women in Business Mentorship Program – Connecting aspiring entrepreneurs with successful business leaders
      • Just Listen Campaign – Workshops and support resources addressing issues like self-esteem, social media, and identity for girls ages 11–21
      • Women’s New Home Initiative – Empowering women through education on the home-buying process and access to stable housing.

    Planning & Execution

      • Develop and manage monthly and quarterly program calendars
      • Plan, coordinate, and execute engaging virtual events and workshops
      • Partner with Marketing & Communications to promote programs and increase participation
      • Gather feedback and measure program effectiveness to drive improvements

    Collaboration & Strategy

      • Work closely with Programs, Finance, and Fundraising Committees
      • Help develop program budgets and ensure responsible resource use
      • Support fundraising campaigns for special initiatives

    Qualifications

      • Experience in program coordination, event planning, or nonprofit work (preferred)
      • Strong organizational and project management skills
      • Creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging content and experiences
      • Collaborative team player who communicates effectively across teams
      • Self-starter who thrives in a remote, flexible environment
      • Passion for supporting women, families, and underserved communities

      • Confident communicator who can provide thoughtful, constructive feedback
      • Entrepreneurial mindset with a love for building new initiatives
      • Strong sense of accountability and follow-through
