    Description

    Communications, promotion and fundraising lead.

    Remote position (UK-based charity)

    HeadGym Foundation

    About the Role

We are looking for an experienced volunteer who can take the lead on communications, promotion and fundraising for our charity. This is an important role in our organisation, and we want someone who enjoys creating ideas, building connections and turning plans into real results. You will help us tell our story, grow our audience and generate the support needed to expand our education and teacher training projects in Cambodia.

This is a great opportunity for someone who already has experience and a track record of successful work in charity communications or fundraising. We are looking for someone proactive who can bring fresh ideas, spot opportunities and feel confident taking the lead. You will not be doing this alone. You will work closely with the founder and have support when you need it, but we want someone who feels comfortable driving things forward.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Create clear and engaging communication content for our website, newsletter and social media
    • Promote our work in a way that attracts supporters, donors and partners
    • Develop and deliver fundraising campaigns or appeals
    • Research new fundraising opportunities and build relationships with donors and networks
    • Use your existing experience and connections to help us reach the right audiences
    • Suggest new ideas and approaches that can help our charity grow
    • Provide honest feedback and strategic advice on how we can improve our message and visibility

    What We Are Looking For

    • Someone with real experience in communications, promotion or fundraising
    • A person who can show examples of successful past work or campaigns
    • Someone who enjoys taking initiative and is comfortable leading projects
    • A creative thinker who can help build our charity presence and tell our story in a simple and powerful way
    • Someone with existing contacts or networks in the charity sector, education, fundraising or communications
    • A warm and reliable communicator who understands the value of our mission

We do not focus on qualifications. We care much more about your experience, your track record and your enthusiasm for our cause.

    Time Commitment

Flexible. Most volunteers offer around two to four hours a week, but you can choose a pattern that works for you. The role is fully remote.

    What We Offer

    • A chance to shape the growth of a small but ambitious UK charity
    • A positive and supportive working relationship
    • Freedom to be creative and bring in new ideas
    • The opportunity to see your work make a real impact in schools and communities in Cambodia
    • A reference and evidence of real leadership experience in an international development setting
