Hospice Volunteers needed - Help people with life-limiting illness in your community!

Make a difference when life matters most.

Are you interested in helping people in your community who have life-limiting illnesses? Volunteer opportunities are available in multiple communities in Bangor and surrounding towns including Orono, Dexter, Dover Foxcroft, Belfast, Bucksport, Ellsworth and more.

Volunteers are needed who can bring compassion, listening and the simple gift of sitting with people who are nearing the end of life. Volunteers may play music, read, play cards, watch a favorite tv show, or help a person write their life story, of simply hold a hand.

Volunteers schedule their own visits - totally flexible schedule. Even as little as an hour a month is a help to someone who needs companionship.

Volunteers do NOT perform any clinical activities such as feeding, bathing, or transferring.
