Many cats and kittens are born outside or become homeless, and they receive no medical care. At Forgotten Cats, we operate a clinic that provides basic medical care, vaccinations, and spaying and neutering. Mast of these cats come in humane traps. We need volunteers to care for these cats and make them comfortable for their stay, usually 1-3 days. We will train you to safely and humanely care for cats in traps, using an isolator and other techniques. This requires a person who is compassionate and observant, as cats are monitored for reactions to surgery or other medical conditions. Many of the cats in traps are friendly, and they enter our population of adoptable cats. Others go to rescues who find foster homes, while others are feral and are returned to colony or community caretakers.
