    Description

    Teach English, Learn Spanish: Volunteer Tutor

    DePorres PL.A.C.E. Adult Literacy Center is looking for friendly, patient volunteers to help adult students improve their English skills.

    All classes take place in person at our center in West Palm Beach.

    No teaching or tutoring experience is required. If you speak English and enjoy helping others, we provide the materials, guidance, and support you need to get started.

    Volunteer tutors work one-on-one or in small groups with adult learners, helping them practice speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English. Our goal is to help students build confidence and strengthen the English skills they use in everyday life, at work, and in their communities.

    We are looking for volunteers who are:

    • Fluent in English
    • Patient, encouraging, and dependable
    • Comfortable working with adult learners from different backgrounds
    • Able to make a consistent commitment to their student or class

    College students, retirees, working professionals, former educators, and anyone interested in giving back are welcome.

    Our center is located at 901 Northpoint Parkway, Suite 200, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
