We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Volunteer Donor Relations Manager to builds and maintains strong connections with supporters (individuals, corps, foundations) to increase fundraising, retention, and engagement through stewardship, personalized cultivation, grant writing,/nav campaign coordination, donor communications, and managing giving programs (like major gifts, planned giving, sustainer programs) to meet organizational financial goals and foster long-term support.
Duties
- Identify, solicit, and steward donors; create personalized plans; manage portfolios; oversee donor recognition.
- Develop and implement strategies for major gifts, grants, appeals, events, and annual campaigns.
- Write compelling proposals, marketing materials, manage donor database and acknowledgments.
- Plan and execute fundraising events, direct mail, digital appeals, and corporate volunteer efforts
- Track donor data, analyze campaign performance, and ensure compliance with funding rules.
- Work with development teams, leadership, and boards to align efforts and achieve common goals.
- Cultivate relationships with donors through personalized communication, recognition programs, and stewardship activities
- Assist in business development efforts to secure funding opportunities
- Collaborate with marketing and public relations teams to enhance the organization’s visibility and reputation
- Monitor fundraising performance metrics and prepare reports for senior leadership to inform strategic planning
Qualifications
- Proven experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or donor relations roles
- Strong background in event planning, public speaking, and relationship management
- Proficiency with CRM software
- Skilled in social media management, email marketing, and digital outreach strategies
- Knowledge of grant proposal writing and business development techniques
- Excellent strategic planning abilities with a focus on donor engagement and retention
- Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—along with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong organizational, strategic planning, and project management abilities.
