You don't need to be an artist to volunteer for this opportunity!
We are a nonprofit organization that helps children facing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) realize their dreams through the power of art. They can be anything they want to be!
The Westside Park Shelter Volunteer provides vital support to children at a local shelter and youth development program, helping them feel safe, valued, and supported. Volunteers will actively contribute to creating a positive, nurturing, and welcoming environment where children can thrive.
Dedicate a few hours to help children express themselves through the use of art!
For this program, we are in the Westside of Atlanta on Mondays from 3:35-5:15 pm.
We do art therapy-based programming with the children to have fun and create with us while forgetting their daily stresses. We focus on empowerment, using only nice words and collaboration. It's so much fun and full of positivity!
We bring all the supplies, you come to hang out and help them with the activity!
We are looking for volunteers over 18.
Please fill out our volunteer application at drawchange.org/volunteerapp - that's the first step!
Thank you in advance!
