    Description

The Volunteer Content Creator supports Limitless Disability Services by capturing and producing authentic visual and digital content that reflects the daily life, growth, and community of our program participants. This role is ideal for individuals with a background or interest in photography, videography, social media, or digital storytelling who want to apply their skills in a meaningful, community-centered setting.

This is a creative and relational role. Content Creators spend time on-site getting to know our participants and staff, then use that insight to produce content that is accurate, dignified, and compelling.

    What You'll Do

As a Volunteer Content Creator, you will:

    • Spend time on-site during program hours to observe, build relationships, and identify meaningful moments worth capturing
    • Photograph and/or film program activities, participant milestones, events, and daily community life
    • Edit photos and video clips for use across Limitless' social media platforms, website, and donor communications
    • Collaborate with Limitless staff to ensure content aligns with organizational messaging, brand standards, and participant dignity guidelines
    • Assist in developing a content library that can be drawn from for ongoing communications and fundraising needs
    • Follow all confidentiality, consent, and media release protocols established by Limitless

    What to Expect

Our program environment is active, warm, and full of personality. Participants communicate and engage in diverse ways — some verbally, some through devices or sign language, some through movement and expression. Getting great content here means slowing down, being present, and earning trust before reaching for a camera. The best content creators we've worked with describe this as one of the most creatively rewarding environments, they've ever worked in.

    Why This Role Matters

Visual storytelling is one of the most powerful tools a nonprofit has. The content you produce will directly support Limitless' ability to attract new participants, engage donors, and recruit future volunteers. More importantly, it will help shift public perception — showing the broader community that adults with IDD are leading full, interesting, and connected lives. That representation matters.

Skills and Qualities We're Looking For

    • Experience or strong interest in photography, videography, or digital content creation
    • Proficiency with editing software or mobile editing tools (phone-based editing skills welcome)
    • Respect for participant dignity, privacy, and consent in all content decisions
    • Ability to work independently on-site while staying aligned with staff direction
    • Patience, creativity, and genuine interest in the people and mission of Limitless
