    Board Members Needed – Shape the Future of Girls’ Leadership (Camp S.W.A.G.)

    Location: North Carolina (virtual and in-person support as needed)

    Time Commitment: 60-minute meetings, monthly (increasing to twice per month 3–6 months before launch)

    Board Term: 2–3 years, with a renewal option available for members who wish to continue

    About Camp S.W.A.G.

    Camp S.W.A.G. (“Girls Are Phenomenal” Leadership Academy) empowers middle and high school girls to develop confidence, leadership, and social-emotional skills. Through year-long workshops, mentoring, and volunteer opportunities, participants build skills that help them thrive in school, community, and future careers.

    Board Member Opportunities

    We are seeking dedicated board members to support and guide Camp S.W.A.G., focusing on program growth, outreach, and volunteer coordination.

    Open Positions:

    • Director of Outreach & Partnerships – Build connections with schools, youth organizations, and sponsors to increase program visibility and participant enrollment.
    • Director of Volunteer Engagement – Recruit, train, and coordinate adult volunteers and mentors; ensure smooth program operations.
    • Board Member-at-Large (Advisory Role) – Provide general support, guidance, and expertise in areas needed.

    Expectations:

    • Attend 60-minute board meetings once per month (virtual or in-person), increasing to twice per month 3–6 months before launch.
    • Support program planning, outreach, and volunteer coordination.
    • Commit to a 2–3 year term to ensure continuity and effective program support. A renewal option can be added if members want to continue.
    • Bonus: Board members’ children may participate in the academy free of charge for the duration of the board member’s term.

    Teen Ambassador Opportunities

    Lead Teen Ambassadors are selected from the top-tier program and act as youth leaders of the academy. They work closely with adult board members to ensure the program reflects teen perspectives and needs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Represent the teen voice in program planning and activities.
    • Promote Camp S.W.A.G. in schools and communities.
    • Mentor peers and assist with leadership workshops.

    Benefits:

    • Hands-on leadership experience, mentorship, and community service recognition.

    Eligibility: Ages 13–18, committed to the year-long program.
