How to Volunteer for This Opportunity

Working in the warehouse has a lot of different roles. We have a few projects that we run year round and the different project needs will determine what we work on. The Volunteer Coordinator will be sure to walk you through the different shift policies and procedures.

All projects take place inside a working, active warehouse. We cannot allow anyone to enter the warehouse if they have on open-toe shoes. No exceptions!

While working in the warehouse, you may need to do the following:

    • Stand on concrete floors for an extended amount of time.
    • Walk on concrete floors for an extended amount of time.
    • Lift boxes that can be as heavy as 40 pounds.
    • Read dates on food packages.

To maintain a safe working environment, please adhere to the following policies:

    • All volunteers must be at least 16 years old to work in the warehouse.
    • Volunteers must wear closed toe shoes. Please refrain from wearing crocs, shoes without a back, and heels. If your toes are exposed, we cannot let you in the warehouse. This includes ORTHOPEDIC BOOTS!
    • Dress comfortably. The warehouse is not climate controlled and you may get dirty while volunteering.
    • Please refrain from wearing anything with derogatory, divisive, or political messaging.
