The Wright Cause Urban Youth Conservation (TWCUYC) is looking for volunteers to help with Texas Day of Empathy 2026, taking place on
Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Day of Empathy is a community-centered event focused on empathy, education, and connection. The event will include a community resource fair, a panel discussion on Texas parole, voter engagement, HIV education and awareness, food, music, and community resources. Volunteers help make this event welcoming, organized, and impactful for everyone attending.
Volunteer roles may include:
Event setup and breakdown
Helping set up tables, chairs, tents, signage, and materials before the event, and assisting with cleanup after.
Greeters and registration
Welcoming guests, helping with check-in, handing out materials, and directing attendees.
Resource fair support
Helping community organizations get set up, assisting with materials, and keeping the resource area organized.
Food and beverage support
Helping with food setup, distribution, and keeping serving areas clean.
Parking and crowd support
Helping guide guests, supporting event flow, and assisting staff as needed.
Photography/videography
Capturing photos or video during the event. Experience is helpful but not required.
General volunteers
Helping wherever needed to keep the event running smoothly.
Volunteer requirements:
Must be at least 15 years old
Friendly and reliable
Able to work as part of a team
Comfortable working outdoors if needed
