    Description

Pet Therapy Volunteers Needed in Saint Clair County

Any pet owner will agree that the presence of a dog will warm the heart and inspire the spirit which is why Hospice Compassus is seeking friendly canines to join our volunteer team. Volunteers, along with their furry friends, would be fostering meaningful connections with patients in the Saint Clair County area that could benefit from pet therapy. The ideal volunteer is patient, compassionate, and has a heart for the elderly and dying.

For the protection of our patients all pets MUST be certified through an approved pet therapy certifying organization, such as Pet Partners, Therapy Dogs International, AKC Therapy Dog Program and Alliance of Therapy Dogs.

*Compassus Hospice follows CDC guidelines for COVID-19 response, and additional PPE training will be conducted with all new volunteers.
