    About Us

    Philly Peace in Progress is a community‑centered nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth, families, and neighborhoods across Philadelphia through peace‑building programs, cultural experiences, and resource support. We are expanding our internal systems and need a skilled volunteer to help strengthen our digital infrastructure.

    Role Overview

    We are seeking a Google Workspace Administrator to support the setup, organization, and ongoing management of our Google Workspace account. This role is ideal for someone with IT, systems administration, or Google Workspace experience who wants to make a meaningful impact by helping a growing nonprofit operate smoothly and securely.

    Responsibilities

      • Configure and optimize our Google Workspace environment
      • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings
      • Organize shared drives, folders, and access levels
      • Implement best practices for data protection and workflow efficiency
      • Provide light troubleshooting or guidance to staff/volunteers as needed
      • Recommend improvements to strengthen our digital operations

    Qualifications

      • Experience with Google Workspace Admin Console
      • Understanding of user management, groups, permissions, and security settings
      • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
      • Ability to explain tech concepts in simple, clear language
      • Passion for community impact and supporting a mission‑driven organization

    Time Commitment

    Flexible — approximately 6–8 hours per week, depending on project needs. Remote volunteers are welcome.

    Your expertise will directly support our ability to operate efficiently, protect our data, and scale our programs that serve youth, families, and communities across Philadelphia.
