Fidget Quilt Volunteers Needed – AdventHealth Hospice  Sew Comfort, Calm, and Dignity for Patients with Dementia 

AdventHealth Hospice is seeking volunteers who love to sew to help create fidget quilts—small, comforting lap blankets designed to soothe restlessness and provide gentle sensory engagement for patients living with dementia.

These quilts bring calm, reduce anxiety, and offer meaningful tactile stimulation for those who need it most.

What Volunteers Do

• Sew fidget quilts using simple patterns and creative sensory elements
• Add safe items such as ribbons, textures, buttons, zippers, pockets, and more
• Create heartfelt comfort items for our hospice patients
• Work from home with flexible time commitments

Materials, Training & Support Provided

We provide all materials, along with examples, guidance, and ongoing support so volunteers feel confident and inspired in their creations.
