Are you compassionate towards the elderly? Do you appreciate someone that's gone through life and can give you wisdom? Or do you just want to help and elderly who lives alone? Whatever your case my be, here at Life Springs Hospice Care, we treat patients like our own family.

Patient care volunteers provide a variety of supportive services to terminally ill patients and their families such as:

• respite care for the caregiver
• be a companion to the patient
• support the caregiver if applicable
• do light housework for the patient
• and so much more!

Life Springs Hospice gives our volunteers the specialized training they need to work with patients and their families. Our volunteers are free to choose how much time per week they can devote to their patient. Most choose to give from two to four hours per week and some work on an as-needed basis.

And however much time you're able to spare and give to our families will be rewarded in finding you have helped a family through one of the most difficult times in their lives.

Life Springs Hospice serves the Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara and San Mateo county communities.

Depending on Volunteer experience in a medical setting, training in required as well as a health screening and background check. No fee is required.
