    Job Summary

Are you a natural connector, campaigner, or organizer who believes that access to cancer care should not depend on someone’s income or location? Join Alliance for CancerCare Equity (ACCE) as a Fundraising Coordinator and become a key driver in our mission to raise life-saving funds for cancer patients in Ghana who lack financial support and for those in Canada struggling to afford unfunded cancer medications.

This is a purpose-driven volunteer role where your efforts can directly change—and even save—lives. If you’re passionate about people, outreach, and impact, this is your opportunity to lead and grow with a cause that truly matters.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Mobilize individuals, businesses, churches, and groups to donate and fundraise for ACCE’s mission
    • Develop partnerships with community leaders, University ACCE clubs and corporate sponsors etc
    • Coordinate online fundraisers (GoFundMe, social media drives, email appeals, etc.)
    • Support major donation efforts through donor engagement and impact storytelling
    • Collaborate with the Communications and Programs teams to align messaging with fundraising goals
    • Track and report fundraising progress; provide monthly updates and insights
    • Recruit and mentor volunteer “Champions” to raise funds within their own networks

    Required Skills & Qualities

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills—verbal and written
    • Comfortable with outreach and community engagement
    • Experience or interest in fundraising, marketing, or nonprofit development
    • Self-motivated and organized with the ability to meet deadlines
    • Strategic thinker who can bring creative ideas to the table
    • Basic digital skills: email marketing, social media, spreadsheets, etc.
    • Passion for social justice, healthcare equity, or global development

Skills and Experience You’ll Gain for Career Development

    • Hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and campaign strategy
    • Project management and leadership skills
    • Networking and partnership-building experience
    • Public relations and donor communications
    • Social media and digital fundraising techniques
    • Real-world results you can showcase in your portfolio or resume
    • Mentorship, reference letter, and a spotlight on ACCE’s website/socials as a key volunteer leader

    Why Volunteer With ACCE?

    • You'll be part of a small, passionate team creating meaningful change in the lives of real people
    • Every dollar you help raise will go toward life-saving support for underserved cancer patients
    • You’ll have the freedom to take initiatives, lead projects, and leave your mark
    • Flexible hours—you can contribute on your schedule, from anywhere in the world
    • Opportunities for growth, training, and leadership within a growing charitable organization
