Role Summary: We are seeking a creative Video Editor & YouTube Manager to elevate our video quality and streamline our content publishing. In this role, you will own the technical video pipeline—from cutting raw footage and podcast clips into polished assets to uploading, scheduling, and managing our YouTube channel. You will focus on output quality, brand consistency, and asset execution based on our overarching content strategy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Video Production & Editing:
      • Edit long-form content (podcasts, talks, interviews) and short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn.
      • Add captions, clean audio, motion graphics, and transitions to craft compelling visual stories around mental health initiatives.
      • Repurpose full-length recordings into high-converting highlight clips.
    • YouTube Studio & Channel Execution:
      • Upload, schedule, and organize content on our official YouTube channel according to the established posting schedule.
      • Optimize video metadata for traditional search and AI search engines (crafting clear chapter timestamps, high-CTR titles, descriptions, and transcripts).
      • Design or direct eye-catching video thumbnails to increase click-through rates.
      • Maintain clean channel organization (playlists, end screens, cards, and video tags).

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Proven experience with video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve).
    • Understanding of YouTube publishing mechanics, metadata optimization, and thumbnail design best practices.
    • Strong eye for visual storytelling, pacing, and brand alignment.
    • Excellent communication skills, ability to meet agreed-upon deadlines, and self-starter mindset.
    • Passion for mental health awareness and creating measurable social impact.
    • Bay Area location preferred for occasional in-person events or team touchpoints.
    • References required prior to onboarding.

    Nice to Have:

    • Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): Knowledge of structuring video descriptions and transcripts so content is easily indexed by AI search tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews).
    • Experience with motion graphics, basic animation, or graphic design tools (Canva/Photoshop).
