    Description

Donate a building to a Nonprofit Providing Jobs & Housing to People in our Impoverished Communities

Join Us in Building a Future of Hope and Self-Sufficiency

Access to stable housing, living-wage employment, and comprehensive health and wellness support are essential to a better life. Yet for many women, men, and families living in poverty across the Bay Area, these resources remain out of reach. Despite these barriers, they continue to try and change their way of life.

    About Courageous Women Association (CWA)

Courageous Women Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and families through housing support, workforce development, and holistic wellness services. For over 18 years, CWA has served underserved communities throughout the Bay Area, providing essential resources and direct support to survivors of homelessness, domestic violence, human trafficking, incarceration, and trauma.

We have now launched an initiative to help individuals move out of poverty and into long-term self-sufficiency. This program focuses on addressing core needs—safe housing, employment readiness, and access to recovery and wellness services—while building a sustainable pathway toward independence. Each year, we plan to expand this impact to serve even more individuals in need.

We Are Seeking a Donated Building to Expand Our Impact

CWA is urgently seeking the donation or long-term partnership of a building in the Bay Area to serve as a central hub for services. This facility will be used for housing support programs, job training, wellness services, and community-based resources designed to stabilize and uplift vulnerable individuals and families.

A donated property would directly contribute to transforming lives by creating a safe, consistent space where individuals can rebuild, learn new skills, and access critical support systems under one roof.

If you are a property owner, developer, or know of surplus commercial space, we invite you to consider donating or partnering with CWA. In many cases, property donations may also offer potential tax advantages and other financial benefits depending on eligibility.

    Our Impact & Recognition

CWA’s work has been recognized with:

    • CBS 5 News Jefferson Award
    • Congressional Certificate from former Congresswoman Barbara Lee
    • Mayoral Proclamation from the City of Oakland

These honors reflect our long-standing commitment to service, accountability, and community transformation.

    Why This Matters

“Home is where the heart is.” A donated building becomes more than a structure—it becomes a place of healing, opportunity, and restoration. With your support, we can place hope at the center of a community that needs it most.
