Hospitality Volunteer at Gleaners' Resource Center

Want to make a difference in your community? Become an Hospitality Volunteer at our new Resource Center and help our neigbors receive wraparound services, like medical care, outside the food that Gleaners provides. Our goal at Gleaners is not only to feed the line, but reduce the line.

Hospitality volunteers will greet and direct neighbors at our Resource Center.

Volunteer duties include:

• Greet neighbors and direct them to the appropriate resource
• Answer and direct phone calls
• Answer neighbor questions; provide information about resources
• Provide neighbors with apporpriate intake forms for the service they are scheduled for

No experience required - volunteers will receive a 1-hour training session prior to their first volunteer shift.

Volunteers are needed to commit to at least 2 shifts per month.

Volunteers are needed for the following days and times:

Tuesdays - 9 am - 12 pm

Wednesdays - 9 am - 12 pm

Thursdays - 4 -7 pm

Preferred Traits

Can work independently

Strong communication skills

Friendly demeanor

Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment

Position Requirements

• Must be comfortable using technology - phone and computer
• This position is fully seated
• Ages 18+.
• Bilingual volunteers a plus, but not required
