    Description

Make a Difference in a Child's Life -- Be a Mentor in Baltimore County

The Therapeutic Mentoring Program is recruiting mentors in Baltimore County to match with children, ages 8 to 13, temporarily residing at St. Vincent's Villa, a residential treatment center located in Timonium, MD. We are a one-to-one, strength-based mentoring service for youth receiving intensive mental health services for emotional disabilities. Founded in 1998, the program matches youth with adult mentors. Orientation and training is provided by our professional volunteer team and clinical staff.

Mentors visit once a week, are a positive role model, and build a trusting, healthy, and fun relationship with their mentees. We have seen this serious and personal commitment by an adult build resiliency while supporting healing and positive youth development.

Please contact Lauren Porter at lporter@cc-md.org for more information or call the Mentor Office at 667-600-3054.

    Thank you.
