Description
Hospice Volunteers Needed — Bring Comfort, Presence, and Peace
Some moments in life are too important to face alone. Our hospice team walks alongside patients and families during the final chapter—and we’re looking for compassionate volunteers to join us.
What you’ll do
- Offer companionship: read aloud, share conversation, or simply sit in quiet presence.
- Support families: give caregivers a short break, help with light errands, or write a note of encouragement.
- Honor life stories: listen, record memories, or help organize photos and keepsakes.
- Specialized options: music visits, veteran-to-veteran companionship, vigil sitting, or pet therapy (if certified).
What you’ll receive
- Thorough training on hospice philosophy, communication, boundaries, and self-care.
- Ongoing support from our volunteer coordinator and interdisciplinary care team.
- Flexible scheduling—weekday, evening, or weekend visits near your home.
- A meaningful way to serve your community with your whole heart.
