    Description

Hopper Mountain National Wildlife Refuge Work Day

Our monthly volunteer event in March will be at the Hopper Mountain National Wildlife Refuge. We could sure use all the help we can get to make the refuge a better place. This is the best way to guarantee getting on a refuge and possibly seeing some condors. Let us know if you can join us.

    Location

    On-site

Hopper Mountain National Wildlife Refuge (Meet in Fillmore)

612 Ventura St, Fillmore, CA 93015, USA
    Directions

We meet in Fillmore and then combine all the volunteers into high-clearance 4-wheel drive vehicles to head up the mountain to the refuge. If you have a 4-wheel drive to bring, great. If you don't, we'll find a space for you.

How to Volunteer for This Opportunity

We do a variety of jobs on work days and can typically find a job that matches your skills and abilities.

We meet in Fillmore at 8am and then caravan up the mountain in high clearance vehicles. We typically spend the morning on work projects and then stop for lunch and then spend some time after lunch looking for CA condors before heading back down to Fillmore.
