    Description

Google Cloud & Gemini Expertise Needed

Anything Helps is a nonprofit working to address homelessness by making it possible for frontline staff to spend more time with clients and less time on paperwork. We believe meaningful progress happens when staff are supported, paid fairly, and given tools that respect their time and expertise.

We are looking for a volunteer with experience in Google Cloud and Gemini to help us improve how we capture and process service documentation. Our goal is simple: reduce administrative burden so staff can focus on direct client work, while ensuring the organization can reliably bill for services and pay competitive, livable wages.

    What you would help with

You would support the design or implementation of workflows that use Gemini and Google Cloud tools to:

    • Turn spoken or written service notes into structured, compliant documentation
    • Automate repetitive steps in our current process
    • Improve accuracy and consistency without adding complexity for staff

This work directly supports our ability to keep caseloads reasonable, retain experienced staff, and maximize time spent with clients.

    Skills we are looking for

    • Experience with Google Cloud projects and APIs
    • Familiarity with Gemini or other large language models
    • Comfort working with lightweight automation or scripting tools
    • Ability to explain technical decisions in plain language

    Why this matters

When systems work well, staff spend their energy with people instead of screens. That allows us to deliver better support, reduce burnout, and maintain wages that reflect the value of the work. This balance is essential to addressing homelessness in a way that is sustainable and humane.
