    Volunteer Music Curator for Senior Radio Station

    Are you passionate about music from the golden eras of the 1940s to the 1970s? Do you have a knack for creating the perfect playlist? The I Did Something Good Today Foundation's Nostalgic Radio seeks a dedicated volunteer to curate music for our engaging and beloved programming. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors, providing them with a rich and nostalgic listening experience.

    About Nostalgic Radio:

    Nostalgic Radio is an online radio station that brings timeless classics and iconic shows to seniors, helping to combat social isolation and promote well-being. Our station features a variety of themed segments, such as Motown Mondays, Twisting Tuesdays, Big Band Wednesdays, and Sinatra Sundays. We play a mix of Big Band, Jazz, Rock 'n' Roll, and show tunes, ensuring our listeners enjoy the music that shaped their lives. Nostalgic Radio is now on Audacy, Alexa, Apple, Android, Google, Roku, and many more platforms!

    Volunteer Role: Music Curator

    Responsibilities:

    • Organize music in our library according to genre and year and on the backend.
    • Create playlists for each themed segment of our programming schedule.
    • Collaborate with our team to ensure playlists align with the themes and moods of our shows.
    • Stay up-to-date with our programming schedule and curate playlists accordingly.
    • Help us maintain the nostalgic and high-quality listening experience that our audience loves.

    Requirements:

    • Passion for music from the 1940s to the 1970s, including genres like Big Band, Jazz, Rock 'n' Roll, and show tunes.
    • Experience with music streaming platforms such as Amazon Music or Spotify.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
