Friendly Visitor- A Little Help

Are you a friendly, empathetic, and professional person looking for a way to give back to the community? A Little Help would love to bring you on as one of our volunteer friendly visitors. Our mission is to provide assistance to older adults in Larimer County through companionship and other services that allow adults to age gracefully in their own homes. Our friendly visitors travel to our older adult members' homes or local public meeting spots and provide consistent, supportive, and engaging interactions with members to foster connection and well-being. Whether it's going for a walk or reading together or playing games, your compassion can make the biggest difference in an older adults' life. After filling out the volunteer application and passing a background check, volunteers will receive a brief training and orientation to get acquainted with A Little Help's staff and processes. Scheduling visits is entirely dependent on member's and volunteer's schedules. We are looking for a six-month commitment to allow volunteers to build relationships with members for which there will be continuous check-ins and ongoing support from staff.
