    Location: Remote (U.S. + Guatemala collaboration)

    Commitment: Volunteer Board Position

    UPAVIM (Unidas Para Vivir Mejor) is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Volunteer Treasurer to join our Board of Directors. This is a unique opportunity to contribute your financial expertise to a grassroots nonprofit that supports women and families in Guatemala through education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.

    As Treasurer, you will play a key role in overseeing the organization’s financial health, ensuring transparency, and supporting sustainable growth—all while working alongside a passionate, collaborative board.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide financial oversight and guidance to the board
    • Review financial statements and budgets
    • Collaborate with UPAVIM’s accountant in Guatemala
    • Support financial reporting to the U.S.-based board
    • Help ensure compliance with nonprofit financial practices

    Qualifications:

    • Fluency in both English and Spanish (required)
    • Background in finance, accounting, or related field preferred
    • Interest in nonprofit governance and international collaboration
    • Strong communication and organizational skills

    This is a flexible, remote volunteer role ideal for someone looking to gain or deepen nonprofit board experience while making a meaningful impact.
